Gringo, would you please tell me in a few words how you were able to take pictures like this. Depth and horizon and interesting perspective. Just amazing!!!!!

Kaya: Do you remember I memtioned to you about the 'Rule of thirds'? in this pic you have a one third sky, one third sea and one third land. I used my new Nikon Coolpix for the first time as I wanted to practise before I go off to Italy (I don't want to carry my heavy S80 around). But really I suppose you just sometimes have a feel for a shot and do it....Sorry if that is a vague answer...!

Anita: You can swim on my beach anytime!

Gringo, thank you so much. I forgot completely about the rule of thirds and grids and composition. My dream is to buy a Nikon camera. I am saving money for it. Is it a brand Nikon Coolpix??? I have to google it. Thank you so much for your answer. It is a great and a detailed answer.

Kaya: Coolpix is not necessarily expensive, there are different models, but the main thing for me is that it is slim and I can slip it into my pocket.

Anita: The place to surf in the UK is Cornwall on the north coast, the waves in East Anglia are pretty insipid!
